Fight Anatomy

One of the most important parts of fighting is knowing where to hit your opponent. There are multiple weak points in the body that a person should aim for if trying to do damage and knock the opponent out

HEAD: Nose: The nose is a very sensitive part of the body a good strike to the nose will cause pain, distortion, watery eyes which will cause blurred vision, and if it's hit hard enough the nose will break causing even more pain, blood to gush from the nose and breathing problems see a solid jab or cross to the nose can cause big problems.

Temples: The temples are the soft spots on the sides of your head they are extremely sensitive and when hit can cause, dizziness, pain, distortion and lose of consciousness. When throwing hooks aim for the temples

Eyes: The eyes are very sensitive points on the body this is common knowledge there for a solid jab or cross to an eye will cause your opponent to be in pain, be stunned and see alot less clear.

Ears: Are weak and should also be aimed for when throwing a hook a good shot to the ear will cause amazing pain, distortion, ringing ears, dizziness and lose of consciousness

Soft under jaw: When throwing an uppercut try to hit right infront of the throat and under the jaw this spot is a pressure point that hurts like hell and well cause a knock out. UPPER BODY: Solorplexus: The solorplexus is the soft spot right where the ribs begin to separate. A strong, straight punch to the solorplexus will cause sever pain as well as problems breathing, lose of consciousness has a small chance of occurring

Liver: The liver is located right underneath the right side of the ribs and right above the right hip. A solid hook or shovel hook (Hook/ Uppercut hybrid) to the liver will cause extreme pain, distortion and a technical or total lose of consciousness.

Pancreas: The pancreas is very similar to the liver the only diffrence is that its located on the opposite side of the body.

LOWER BODY: Knees: The knees are nice and weak a good kick to the knees will cause some discomfort and cause the legs to buckle and if the knee is dislocated you earn a TKO victory,

Inside the theigh: An inside leg kick is dangerous because you may hit the groin but if your careful and do the move right this is a very painful kick and will cause the leg to go numb and can cause lose of balance

Ancles:  Hitting the ancles can cause some pain but the main point of a good ancle kick is to knock your opponent off balance and put them on the ass.

Shins: Getting kicked in the shin hurts........Alot...... its that simple.

ILLEGAL MMA SHOTS/ GOOD STREET FIGHT SHOT: Groin
                                Back of the head
                                Neck and Throat
                                Kidneys
                                Poke to the eyes

Striking

INTRO: Striking is a very critical part of MMA without atleast decent strikeing ability you wont get very far in the sport of MMA.
When your striking the first thing that most people don't realize is that you dont want to use only your arms. You want to use your whole body and watch it all move together like a wave. you should start off by push off of the foot on the same side as the arm that's punching. For example your punching with your right hand you push off of your right foot. Next your hips should sort of start moveing on their own because of the push from your foot what you want to do is use your core muscles and twist your hips in the direction that their already moveing in. Next your chest and pecs will start folllowing your hips your going to force them into motion the same way you did with youhips. Next your going to roll your shoulder straighten out your arm and nail through your target. It's very important that you hit through your target and you dont just stop once the strike lands because hitting through your target will do alot more damage.

Stance

Karate stances are rarely used in MMA but are perfectly balanced

When practiceing MMA the very first thing you need to learn and perfect is your stance. Your stance will affect how well you move and well you can certain things. Like a wrestlers stance is usually much lower then a boxers stance so they can attack their oppenents legs and go for the take down while the boxers stance is taller and a little more straight so they can hit their oppent in the face easier as well as easily avoid and block punchs to their face. Most MMA fighters pick a stance some where in the middle of the two with slight adjustments so they can do what they like to do easy but they don't leave holes open for an opponent of a diffrent fighting style to abuse.
Picture of  a strikeing focused MMA stance
they are clearly more confortable strikeing
but provide enough balnce to prevent takedowns
This image is a little over dramatic but you can see how a wrestler would easily be punched and kicked multiple time while the boxers would easily be taken down but the MMA fighter could counter act both styles

Something diffrent.

Alright so instead of writeing about MMA because I had a cool idea but but things diddn't go as planned so i'll just talk about my weekend. Had a great time friday night with my brother Jen, Kristy and Cassidy. Saturday I made my step mom a flower box and picked out a card and signed it wither Corey and gave it to her as an early mothers day present. Then sunday woke-up at 4:30 went to my grandpa's wood floor shop left there at about 6:15 to go to Portland arrived there at like 8:45-9:00ish. worked untill about 5:30 then went home and arrived home at about 8:00 so if you include the preperation and ride there and back i worked a beautiful 14 hour shift if you dont count the drive it was only 9 hours but trust and beleive  hand scraping and working an edger (A small 30 pound machine that's used to scrap paint, stain and finish off of floors mainly used on the edges of the room which is where it gets its name. it's fun for a minute but destroys your arms, legs, and back after a while. It looks alot easier than it is to.) for 9 hours kind of sucks. Needless to say i'm a little sore today but when the new layer of finish is applied and it looks beautiful I begin to realize it's all worth it. Plus the pays pretty nice.

George St Pierre is an extremely good fighter and often advertised as the most well rounded fighter in MMA meaning. He can finish a fight no matter where it goes on the ground or on his feet. He has some of the best takedowns and has extremly good ground and pound skills. He is still extremely young and gets better after every fight he has avaenged both his loses proveing he truely is the best in his weight class. The only hole in his fight game is that his submissions are not at a black belt level but are still very good which is a very small issue given how devastateing his hands are.

Anderson Silva is the king of dodgeing and counter punching if the fight is kept off the ground Silva is practiclly garanted the victory because you cant beat what you can't hit and Anderson Silva almost never gets hit. Silva also has a devasting Muay Thai clinch and knee combo. Silva Perfers to stand rather than go to the ground but if the fight goes down he can still hold his own rather well especially if he can keep St Pierre inside his gaurd where he throws deadly unorthodox submissions. Silva has only avenged one of his four losses, his ground game is less than spectacular and he's getting a little old.
